Broulee Headland Beach House
(minimum 2 Nights)
About This Listing
This is a unique, secluded, pet friendly beach house. It is situated on a double property (huge garden) fully surrounded by casuarina trees, away from residential streets and perched on Broulee headland overlooking the ocean. This is an original 1950's beach house with a slow combustion wood heater, a 6-burner Ilve stove+oven, a large Rennai gas heater, a huge Sony TV, a big family fridge, and a washing machine and dryer. It has views from the verandah and the kitchen to the north to Broulee bay. Three different beaches are within walking distance (100/150 meters). There are magical paths out the back gate through the bush to Shark Bay (150 meters), a secluded almost aquarium-like bay, a peninsula protected nature reserve (400 meters), and two surf beaches (south Broulee, 100 meters; north Broulee, 500 meters). Pink rocks (great surf spot) is a 15 minute walk along the beach. You'll have total silence except for the birds (and the occasional plane flying into Moruya airport 10 kms to the south). There is a great cafe with fantastic coffee and breakfasts/lunches at Mossy Point 3 kms to the north (a 20 min walk along the beach). Amazing dining at The River Restaurant in Moruya 10kms to the south. A beautiful cycling track through the bush to the Moruya River, and many other tracks through the woods (Mogo Forest).
